Alexia Monardo is a professional dancer born and raised in Toronto, Canada. In 2014 she graduated from Ryerson University’s Performance Dance Program, obtaining her BFA in Dance. With over 23 years of dance training in various styles, Alexia has performed at events and festivals all over Toronto/GTA, as well as numerous provinces across Canada. She has toured internationally several times, performing in countries such as China, Qatar, Singapore and the Bahamas. Alexia is a dance teacher, and certified meditation and mindfulness instructor, with a passion for fitness and strength training. She has spent 7 years weight training in the gym under the guidance of her trainer Garrett Moher. Alexia started training in the gym to improve her strength and endurance for her dance career. In 2017 Alexia founded her company I Am Power Movement, an interactive movement and mindfulness workshop focused on nurturing and strengthening student’s mental health and physical health through meditation, fitness, and dance.
